CES Partner Spotlight: Jim Dorey of MarketSaw

Leading up to CES, we’re turning the spotlight on our partners to get their perspective on what’s happening in digital 3D. Today, we’re pleased to chat with Jim Dorey of MarketSaw.

Tell us a bit about the history of MarketSaw. What are you setting out to accomplish?

I started MarketSaw.com back in 2006 when I heard about Jim Cameron doing AVATAR in 3D. I thought that if he was going to push the format, then it will doing extremely well. Being the number one stop for anything to do with AVATAR while it was in production and in theaters of course helped! We’re looking forward to more of that coverage with AVATAR 2 & 3. I’ve met and interviewed Mr. Cameron many times and he consistently amazes me with his vision and creativity, not to mention his technical prowess.

MarketSaw will continue to grow with 3D as it expands into just about every facet of our entertainment and scientific world. I’m excited by the possibilities! Continue reading
